As the variety of microprocessor-based building systems continues to proliferate and become more complex, the need for an open, effective, efficient, and cost-effective Building Automation System (BAS) is paramount.  However, with the multitude of BAS on the market today, there exists a conundrum for building owners and facility managers in determining which BAS to choose.

An “apples to apples” comparison of BAS vendors becomes increasingly complicated when taking into account the sophisticated sequences, fault detection and diagnostics, data analytics, and enterprise-level integration needs of buildings today.

To simplify this process, we created a tool that focuses on key BAS capabilities that should be part of a discussion when evaluating BAS vendors. This tool also can be used as a guide to understanding the overall functionality and features you should expect from your BAS right out of the box, versus features that are typically add-ons.
