The Automated Logic® WebCTRL v8 building automation system offers an intuitive user interface and powerful tools to help facility managers keep occupants comfortable, manage energy conservation measures, identify key operational problems, and analyze the results. Facilities will find these updates useful in their day-to-day operations:
WebCTRL v8 adds support for Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG), which enables the graphics to dynamically size relative to the end user’s monitor resolution. Building navigation is additionally simplified with Summary Floorplans that allow you to zoom into floors from a single graphic. Users can quickly scan thermographic floorplans of each floor using the left and right arrows.
Haystack-compatible Semantic Tagging
Haystack-compatible semantic tagging automatically assigns standard reference names to equipment data, allowing users to tag equipment and areas so they are easily found or for integration into other systems that use tags.
How does semantic tagging create efficiencies in facility management?
When used, semantic tagging allows for custom reports and graphics of critical parameters and energy consumption to be generated and automated, saving time and energy in data mining and analysis. Automated Logic’s WebCTRL v8 Building Automation software includes haystack semantic tagging and custom reporting capabilities.
Special Access to ACxelerate Auto-Commissioning Tool
An upgrade to WebCTRL v8 includes special access to Automated Logic’s ACxelerate auto-commissioning tool that can be used to automatically test VAV terminal unit dampers and reheat valves and generate an intuitive health report using dashboards, charts, and graphs to note the specific faults that need to be corrected.
BAS and HVAC system commissioning can be complex and time-consuming. Having an auto-commissioning tool reduces field and facility commissioning time in new construction facilities and can verify VAV performance and operation in existing buildings at more regular intervals, capturing inefficiencies and issues before they result in expensive repairs and/or or energy waste.
Upgrading to WebCTRL v8 future proofs your Building Automation software from a technology and security perspective with IPv6 and BACnet Secure Connect (BACnet/SC).
- BACnet Secure Connect allows devices to protect themselves with built-in security mechanisms and should eliminate risky behavior such as placing unprotected devices directly on the internet.
- BACnet Secure Connect is IT-friendly
BACnet/SC shifts BACnet into the application space of using well-known, accepted IP application protocols and techniques. The protocol will provide inherent means of protection for BACnet-based building automation systems, even across public internet or in shared, private IP networks.
BACnet/SC provides building automation infrastructure that uses standard internet protocol and standard, widely used security methods, eliminating much of the concern and work for an IT department.
BACnet Secure Connect will provide cybersecurity inherently, equal to what is currently achieved using VPNs and such. No extra VPN equipment or software and according setups will be needed anymore.
